Oceanic's strategy focuses on creating niche products within the Australian market by providing institutional/wholesale clients worldwide an opportunity to invest in natural resource focused companies. These companies are predominantly, but not solely, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

In July 2005, Oceanic established an Umbrella structured Open Ended Investment Company (“OEIC”) – the “CF Natural Resources OEIC”. An OEIC has an “umbrella” fund structure, allowing for many “sub-funds” with different investment objectives to be set up under the main umbrella scheme. Oceanic Asset Management Pty Ltd currently manage two sub-funds, the flagship “CF Australian Natural Resources Fund” and a second sub fund “CF Global Resources Fund” that both exist under this umbrella scheme.

The CF Australian Natural Resources Fund – a fund specialising predominantly on Australian listed securities focusing on small, mid and large cap natural resource companies.

The CF Global Resources Fund – a fund specialising predominantly on investing in mid to large cap natural resource companies that are listed on the Australian, Canadian, London and other globally diverse securities exchanges

Both these funds are FSA regulated, UK domiciled UCITS 3 Open Ended Investment Companies. Additionally, we are currently developing further innovative investment products targeting other international and domestic financial markets utilising our expertise in the growing natural resources and energy sectors.
